The First Commercial Spacecraft Launched.


The first commercial spacecraft was launched by NASA on Saturday, 30th May 2020. The International Space Station is the destination of the Spacecraft. The name of this spacecraft is SpaceX Crew Dragon. NASA astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley are in the Spacecraft. The Space Crew Dragon was launched from Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. 

Now SpaceX is the first company that delivers cargo to the space station under the public-private partnership program of NASA. 

The SpaceX Crew Dragon reached to The Space Station at 10.29 a.m Sunday, 31 May 2020. This spacecraft is designed with a lot of advanced technologies and features and it docked to The Space Center automatically. But according to the plan, the crews onboard the spacecraft (Behnken and Hurley ), and the crew onboard the Space center monitored the performance of spacecraft. 

Three astronauts aboard the International Space Station welcomed the crew at the international space station. Live coverage of hatch opening and crew welcome ceremony aired on NASA TV and the agency’s website.
